Best Multistreaming Platforms in 2026: Six Options Compared
Checked October 23, 2026. This page is written by Multistream Platform, which is one of the six options below, so read it with that in mind. Facts about the other services come only from their own public pages (Castr pricing, Castr multistreaming, Dacast pricing, Restream pricing, StreamYard pricing, StreamYard multistreaming, Streamlabs Ultra), which we reviewed on that date. We do not rank or score anyone: options are listed alphabetically, and the right one depends on how you produce your show. Prices and limits change, so confirm them on each provider’s site. We are not affiliated with any provider named, and the names belong to their owners. Information about Multistream Platform comes from our own pricing and features pages.
The short answer
There is no single best multistreaming platform; there is a best fit for the way you make your show. Start with your workflow, then compare the number of platforms you need at once and your budget:
- You produce in OBS Studio, vMix or a hardware encoder and want one upload to reach many platforms: look at relays such as Multistream Platform, Restream or Castr.
- You want a studio in the browser with guests: StreamYard, or Restream’s browser studio.
- You stream games from a PC, phone or Xbox and want overlays and alerts in the same app: Streamlabs, whose Ultra plan adds multistreaming.
- You also need to host video, sell access or run your own player: Castr or Dacast, which are video platforms with multistreaming or simulcast features.
The tables below show what each provider lists today. Multistream Platform is our product; the comparison hub has a one-to-one page for each of the others.

How we compared them
We used the questions that decide whether a multistreaming service fits a real setup, and only facts each provider publishes about itself:
- Workflow. Is it a relay for your own encoder, a browser studio, streaming software, or a video platform? This matters more than price.
- Platforms at once. How many destinations can you be live on at the same time on each plan, and can you add custom RTMP or SRT endpoints?
- Free plan or trial. Can you multistream for free, or only try it for a few days?
- Price for the number you need. The monthly price at the plan that covers your platforms, not the headline price.
- Ingest. Which protocols your encoder can use to reach the service. See RTMP vs SRT.
- Chat, recording and pre-recorded video. Whether the service also handles the jobs around the stream.
We did not measure speed, quality or reliability, and we do not quote reviews or ratings. If you want to judge those, test each service with your own encoder and connection; most of them have a free plan or trial.
What about $20 or $50 a month?
| Budget | Option and plan | Price billed monthly | Platforms at once | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| About $20 | Castr Starter | $19.99 | 6 destinations | 2 concurrent streams on monthly billing; includes hosting, a player and a paywall (9% commission on paywall sales) |
| About $20 | Multistream Platform Creator | $19 | Up to 5 channels | 50 streaming hours a month, 1080p at 60fps, unified live chat |
| About $20 | Restream Standard | $19 | 3 channels | No Restream branding, guest channels |
| About $20 | StreamYard Essential | $18.99 | 2 destinations | Unlimited streaming and 1080p listed; for individual use only |
| About $20 | Streamlabs Ultra | From $15.75 (as its page states) | Multiple platforms or custom RTMP | Bundles overlays, apps and its other creator tools |
| About $50 | Castr Standard | $49.99 | 10 destinations | Adds SRT/RTMP pull links and in-stream advertising |
| About $50 | Multistream Platform Professional | $49 | Up to 10 channels | 150 streaming hours a month, 20 hours of cloud recording, up to 3 team seats |
| About $50 | Restream Professional | $49 | 5 channels | Full HD 1080p, record in 4K, dual format streaming |
| About $50 | StreamYard Core | $44.99 | 3 destinations | No StreamYard logo, custom RTMP destinations, 10 on-screen participants |
Two things stand out. At about $20 a month the listed limits range from 2 to 6 platforms at once, and at about $50 from 3 to 10, so the plan name tells you little. And the plans count different things: Castr counts destinations per stream and limits how many streams run at once, StreamYard counts destinations, and Restream and Multistream Platform count channels. Write down how many platforms you stream to at once before you compare.
Castr
Castr describes itself as a live streaming platform: multistreaming plus video hosting, live-to-VOD, an embedded player, TV playout and a paywall on every plan. On October 23, 2026 its pricing page listed Starter at $19.99 per month billed monthly ($16.67 billed yearly) with 6 destinations, Standard at $49.99 with 10, Premium at $199.99 with 20, and Ultra ($349.99) and Events ($749.99) with 30. Its multistreaming page says one stream can reach up to 30 destinations by plan and describes a combined chat overlay for YouTube, Facebook Pages and Twitch. SRT ingest is listed on every plan. There is no free plan on the pricing page; Starter has a 7-day trial.
- Fits if you want hosting, your own player or a paywall alongside multistreaming.
- Check the concurrent-stream limit (2 on Starter and Standard with monthly billing) and the 9% paywall commission it lists.

Dacast
Dacast is an online video platform for hosting and live streaming, with plans sized by data and storage. Its pricing page lists a Simulcast feature with 5, 10, 28 and 40 hours across its four plans, RTMP and HLS channels, and a free 14-day trial. Because it is priced by data, storage and simulcast hours rather than platforms at once, we do not quote its plan prices next to the others.
- Fits if your main job is hosting and selling video on your own player, with occasional simulcasts.
- Check whether the simulcast hours in a plan cover how often you go live.

Multistream Platform (our product)
Multistream Platform is a cloud relay. You send one RTMP or SRT stream from OBS Studio, vMix or a hardware encoder to the nearest ingest location (US East, US West, EU Central, Tokyo or São Paulo), and it delivers the stream to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick, TikTok, LinkedIn and custom RTMP or SRT endpoints. Plans: Starter $0 (up to 2 channels, 20 streaming hours a month, 720p at 30fps, with a Multistream watermark), Creator $19 per month billed monthly or $15 billed annually (up to 5 channels, 50 hours, 1080p60), Professional $49 or $39 (up to 10 channels, 150 hours) and Business $149 or $119 (40+ channels, unlimited streaming under fair use, 4K, API access). Unified multichat brings YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick and TikTok chat into one window, and cloud recording, scheduling and pre-recorded and 24/7 streams are on the features page.
- Fits if you already produce in an encoder and want more platforms per plan, or multistreaming on a free plan.
- Check that you do not need a browser studio with guests, hosting or a paywall: we do not describe those as our focus. The free plan is limited to 720p30 and 20 hours a month.

Restream
Restream offers multistreaming with its own browser studio, or from any third-party streaming software. On October 23, 2026 its pricing page listed a Free plan with 2 channels at once and Restream branding, Standard at $19 per month billed monthly with 3 channels, Professional at $49 with 5 channels and Full HD 1080p, and Business at $239 with 8 channels and 2 team seats; Enterprise is by quote and is where it lists SRT ingest. Its plan comparison lists cross-platform chat and encrypted RTMPS, its FAQ says you can stream to 30+ social channels and invite up to 10 participants, and Upload & Stream turns uploaded videos into live streams. Clips and Webinars are separately priced add-ons.
- Fits if you want a browser studio with guests and the option to stream from OBS as well.
- Check the channel count on each plan and whether you need SRT ingest.

StreamYard
StreamYard is a studio that runs in the browser: its multistreaming page says there is nothing to download and guests join via a link. On October 23, 2026 its pricing page listed a Free plan (StreamYard logo, streaming limits), Essential at $18.99 per month billed monthly ($14.99 billed yearly) with 2 multistream destinations, Core at $44.99 ($35.99) with 3 and custom RTMP destinations, and Advanced at $88.99 ($68.99) with 8. Its multistreaming page says the free plan streams to 1 destination, that new users can try multistreaming free for 7 days, and lists direct integrations with Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Twitch, Kick and Brightcove, with TikTok via custom RTMP. Essential, Core and Advanced are for individual use only; business plans are listed separately.
- Fits if you want an easy browser studio with guests, layouts and branding.
- Check that it says prices may vary with promotions and renewal terms; its multistreaming page also mentions paid plans “starting at $20/month” for new users in their first year, billed annually.

Streamlabs
Streamlabs makes streaming software for desktop and mobile, plus a console app for Xbox. Its Ultra page lists multistreaming as an Ultra feature (“multiple platforms or custom RTMP”) and says “our servers do the heavy lifting”. On the free plan, Dual Output sends to one landscape and one portrait platform. On October 23, 2026 the page showed Ultra “starting at $15.75/mo” and did not state a fixed number of destinations. Ultra also bundles overlays, apps and Streamlabs’ other creator tools.
- Fits if you stream games and want scenes, alerts, overlays and multistreaming in one app.
- Check the destination limits in the app before you rely on a specific number, and whether you want the bundle or only multistreaming.
Can you multistream for free?
On the pages we checked, two of these options list a free plan that streams to any two platforms at once: Multistream Platform Starter (up to 2 channels, 20 hours a month at 720p30, with a watermark) and Restream’s Free plan (2 channels, with Restream branding). Streamlabs’ free Dual Output also reaches two platforms, but one must be landscape and one portrait. StreamYard’s free plan streams to 1 destination, and Castr and Dacast offer trials rather than free plans. You can also multistream with no service at all, as below.
Do you need a multistreaming platform at all?
Not always. OBS Studio with a multiple-output plugin can send to several platforms from your own computer, but your connection then uploads one full copy per platform: a 6.1 Mbps stream to three platforms needs about 18.4 Mbps of upload, against about 6.1 Mbps through a cloud relay. For one or two platforms on a fast connection that can be enough. The three ways to stream to multiple platforms compares the options, and the bandwidth calculator and bitrate recommender work out your own numbers. New to the idea? Start with what is multistreaming.
Platform rules apply whichever service you pick
The destination platforms set their own rules, and no multistreaming service changes them. Twitch, for example, allows simulcasting under its Simulcast Guidelines but says you must not show merged chat from other platforms on your Twitch stream during a simulcast, and Facebook limits a live video to 8 hours. See is multistreaming allowed? for the rules we checked, and how unified multichat works for reading chat from several platforms without breaking the Twitch rule.
How to choose in five questions
- Where do you build the show? In an encoder (relay), in the browser (studio), or in a streaming app (software)?
- How many platforms at once? Count them, add custom RTMP or SRT endpoints, and find the cheapest plan on each service that covers that number.
- How many hours a month? Some plans cap streaming hours or simulcast hours.
- What else do you need? Guests, hosting, a paywall, multichat, recording or pre-recorded streams.
- Can you test it? Use a free plan or trial with your own encoder and connection before paying. Check your camera and microphone first with the webcam test and mic test.
