Comparison as of October 3, 2026. Information about Dacast comes from its public pages (Dacast pricing page), which we reviewed on that date. Plans, prices and features change, so confirm everything on the provider’s own site before you decide. We are not affiliated with Dacast, and its name and trademarks belong to its owner. Information about Multistream Platform comes from our own pricing and features pages.
These products overlap only partly. Dacast describes itself as an online video platform for live and on-demand video, with a player, hosting, security and monetization options. Multistream Platform is narrower: it takes one RTMP or SRT stream from your encoder and relays it to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick, TikTok and custom endpoints, with multichat, recording, scheduling and an API.
If you need to host and monetize video on your own player, Dacast’s pages describe those features. If your goal is to be live on several existing platforms at once, a relay is the more direct tool. Some teams use both for different jobs.
| Multistream Platform | Dacast (as listed October 3, 2026) | |

| Chat across platforms | Unified multichat | Not listed on the pricing page we reviewed |
| Trial and commitment | Free Starter plan; paid plans can be cancelled any time | Describes a free 14-day trial; its FAQ says month-to-month plans have a three-month minimum |
| Pricing display | Monthly and annual prices labeled separately | Prices differ between the plan cards and the comparison table on the page we reviewed, so we do not quote them here |
Dacast plans are described in terms of data allowance and storage, with extra bandwidth or storage billed beyond the allowance according to its FAQ. That suits teams hosting their own viewers on a player. Multistream Platform plans are based on how many channels you stream to at once, streaming hours and team seats, because viewers watch on the destination platforms rather than on a player we host. See our pricing.
Dacast lists Simulcast as a feature with an hours allowance that varies by plan. Multistream Platform is built around relaying, so channel count, ingest locations and chat are the main considerations. Learn more in what is multistreaming.
