Kick Stream Key: Find, Reset and Set Up in OBS

Where to find your Kick stream key, how to reset it, and the encoder settings Kick publishes: CBR, up to 8,000 kbps, 1080p60, H.264. From Kick's help center.

Where to find your Kick stream key

Kick's help center (article dated May 22, 2026) tells you to log in to the Kick account you want to stream from, visit your creator dashboard, click the Channel menu item, then click Stream URL and Key. The same page gives the OBS steps: File, Settings, Stream, change the service to Custom…, paste the Server URL and the Stream Key from your Kick settings page, and press Apply.

Set a title and category first

Kick says that after you save your streaming settings you should open your Streamer Dashboard, click Edit Stream Info, set your stream title and category and save. It adds: "If you do not set your stream title and category, your livestream may not start correctly." Then click Start Streaming in OBS. To end, click Stop Streaming; Kick shows viewers an offline banner and saves the VOD to your channel page.

Reset your Kick stream key

Kick's FAQ says: to regenerate your stream key, visit your Streamer Dashboard and click the Reset button. If you reset it, you must update your streaming software with the new key. Keep it private; do not show it on stream.

The server address and port 443

For tools that need one combined address, Kick's FAQ on LiveU Studio says to add :443/app to the stream URL, giving rtmps://fa723fc1b171.global-contribute.live-video.net:443/app. Use the Server URL from your own dashboard as the source of truth, because providers can change addresses. Kick also supports Streamlabs Desktop, which connects through your Kick account; Kick notes that stream titles need to be set manually on Kick after going live.

If you stutter or lag, Kick suggests lowering the bitrate by 1,000 kbps until the stream is smooth, or using a less demanding preset. To multistream Kick with other platforms, add it as a destination in a relay: see stream to multiple platforms at once, stream keys by platform and how to multistream with OBS Studio.

Try it with Multistream Platform. Send one RTMP or SRT stream and relay it to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick, TikTok and custom endpoints. Start on the free Starter plan (2 channels, 20 streaming hours a month) and see the pricing page for paid plans.
